Women’s safety

by aldc on 20 December, 2016

What do women want?

I have received information from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is working with Cambridgeshire Constabulary to create an event for International Women’s Day on 8th March 2017.

The theme of the event will be around bringing communities together with a particular focus on community safety, designed around what women report as the issues of greatest concern to them and that they would like to learn more about.

The PCC office is asking individuals and women’s groups across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to get in touch and tell them what issues affect you and your local community. What information would empower you to make a change and what areas would you like more information about to increase your understanding of these issues and what you could help do to resolve them?

Themes could include domestic abuse, cyber security, safeguarding children and adults, inequality and community cohesion.

To contribute ideas or to join in with the event, contact the PCC Engagement Officer, Sarah Morgan on sarah.morgan@cambs.pnn.police.uk
