Today at the City Council planning committee, the homes north of Wort’s Causeway gained outline permission, including an innovative scheme proposed by Lib Dem councillors to prioritise qualifying applicants for affordable homes who have a work or family connection nearby, helping to build a truly sustainable community where people live and work in close proximity.

Cllr Colin McGerty spoke on behalf of residents and also joined with objections from Camcycle, helping to secure a condition that the developers will renew their efforts to secure land for a link path to the north to improve cycle and walking connections.
