A free laptop scheme set up by Queen Edith’s City Councillor Colin McGerty has been expanded across the whole city after the City Council partnered with charity Cambridge Online.
With a looming education gap for low income families, Cllr McGerty began requesting donations of old laptops as soon as schools closed in March. These were reconditioned and distributed to low income families and have been a lifeline for students who would otherwise have fallen behind. The scheme is now available by emailing email@example.com Comment
