The next South Area meeting is on Monday 22nd July, at the Cherry Hinton Village Centre. It starts at 7 p.m. with an Open Forum when anybody can ask a question or raise an issue with councillors. Although the area meeting cannot always sort things out on the spot, it can request action from council departments and get balls rolling.
The meeting will include a report from the Greater Cambridge Partnership presenting the results of their recent public consultation, ‘City access/ Choices for better Journeys’, and on the Cambridge South East Transport developments.
There will also be progress reports from the County Council on pedestrian and cyclist safety improvements for Queen Edith’s Way and the Fendon Road roundabout, due to commence in September.
There’s also the regular Environmental Services report. City Council officers will report on their activities over the past three months, with a particular focus on areas they have been asked to concentrate on. Let us know if you want us to bring up any issues.
