The south Cambridge neighbourhood policing team reports two house break-ins in the past week, both in Queen Edith’s. One was in Hinton Avenue and one in Hills Road. There has also been a burglary from Queen Edith’s Way.
Cycle theft is a big problem and the numbers of stolen bikes in Queen Edith’s for the last four months is up 35% on the same period last year, a worrying trend. The scenes of the crime locally were Hills Road, Hinton Avenue and Rathmore Road.
Police priorities for the coming four months will be set at the South Area meeting next Monday, based an a report of the past four months’ policing activity – see pp 19-28 of the South Area agenda. Anyone can attend and contribute to the discussion.
