Speak up for your bus service

by aldc on 16 December, 2013

bus stop 1Bus users in south Cambridge are invited to a Drop-In event at Lichfield Road Community Centre on January 23rd (10am-noon). This is of particular importance for anyone who uses the no 114 bus for shopping or visits to friends or family.

Unlike many other bus services run by commercial operators such as Stagecoach, this service is subsidised by Cambridgeshire County Council.Despite a raft of objections from users, they are pressing ahead with changes, cutting community transport by 40%. It’s likely the 114 will not survive in its current form.

We know that many people use this to get from Queen Edith’s to Sainsbury’s and the Grafton Centre, while in the other direction, people use it to get to Addenbrooke’s for medical appointments.

It is important to get your views on how you use it, and what difference it would make to you if it were withdrawn. Please get along to the meeting if you can.

There is also a survey on bus usage, running from now till mid-January. You can either complete it on line, or download a form to fill in.

CFT Transport QuestionnairePlease draw this to the attention of anyone you know who uses the 114 bus. Thank you.
